i believe that decent is a bit of an understatement when describing their tradition. Their basketball tradition is as good as any school who hasn't won a national title (which puts it in very good standing in comparison to a lot of the BE) and their football tradition is better than that of any of the six remaining BE football schools with the possible (and only possible, due to recent success) exception of WVU.
Seriously, Houston and a DFW (SMU now that we lost TCU) school have been considered for expansion by the BE years ago. I am convinced that both Houston and SMU will jump at the invitations (as long as they are for all sports). We would deserve losing major conference status if we don't pull the trigger on this move (which is the current rumor). _________________

I'm sticking with decent. Cincinnati played with Houston in CUSA for a couple of years. I think I know the program pretty well. They've had some good basketball players in the past and NBA hall of famers, but have never won a NCAA title. Their basketball stadium holds about 8K which is small for the Big East. The football stadium holds 32K and the football program has not done much until recently ranked in the top 25. _________________

They are building brand new venues for both football and basketball. _________________
